I heart David Brooks

David Brooks proves again to be a sensible, broad-looking conservative who sees underlying cultural trends beneath the immediate issues of the day and takes the long view rather than immediate partisan concerns.

My only addition would be to echo what Thomas Friedman, Tony Campolo, and others ahve been saying, which is to emphasize in any national infrastructure "surge" specifically addressing alternative energy infrastructure. Also, emphasize more public transportation, building more rail and such, maybe even through a (GASP!) gas tax.
